"Psychology is both an applied and academic field that studies the human mind and behavior." complete source.

Here's a blog of stuff I find interesting under the large, yet still growing, umbrella of psychology. This includes, but is not limited to, psychopathology, psychopharmacology, relationships and certain topics in social psychology, and dreaming. However, I do take recommendations!!

If you have any questions about anything, please don't hesitate to ask! I'll try to answer them as best as I possibly can. :]

One more thing: I will NOT do your homework for you.

vivalaveronicaa asked: Why do you think that some of the most intelligent people have eccentric behavior?

oh…hmm. good question. I know a lot of intelligent people who aren’t eccentric, but I know a bunch of people who are.

This is STRICTLY my opinion, but I wouldn’t be surprised if most intelligent people have a slight case of or just HAVE Asperger’s syndrome. Asperger’s syndrome is characterized by:

  • social awkwardness / no friends
  • obsessions / focused on one subject
  • lack of eye contact
  • sensitivity to noise / touch / feel of clothing
  • slow to begin talking
  • odd speech / extreme logic / very proper speech
  • anger / aggression / hitting others
  • craves ROUTINE!
  • appears lost / in own world
  • flapping hands
  • communication problems or motor skills problems
  • stimming behavior

according to http://www.aspergerssociety.org/indexsymptoms-test.htm?gclid=CMXx8KTanq4CFULe4Aodfn7k3A, though from what I remember when I took Psychopathology, some of these characteristics aren’t familiar to me. Anyways, the main sign of Asperger’s is that they don’t really…know…how to socialize with people properly, and they’re always occupied with their own ideas, thoughts, etc. I guess they’re eccentric because they’re excited about whatever they’re talking about coupled with the fact that they don’t really know how to socialize properly.

Mind you, this is my opinion; I’ve never learned anything specific about intelligent people being eccentric…so…yea!

Thanks for the question!
